Our daughter Beth turned 15 months about a week ago. She is quite a happy, chatty and playful girl. Laura, my wife recently decided to see if Beth had any artistic tendencies and prepared some homemade painting materials for her to play with. The result was quite funny and as a photographer rather scary. I have covered a number of children’s parties but in terms of potential damage to my cameras and lenses nothing has come close to the danger of photographing Beth’s painting playtimes. While photographing Beth, I kept on imagining her suddenly pointing at me and shouting “PAPA!” and then flinging some paint at me and my camera. :P
