Earlier this month, I photographed Jonathan, Angela and their children, Angela’s parents as well as her sister’s family at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. With larger extended family groups, the photographs tend to have more posed and less candid shots due to the sheer number of permutations of family member groupings. I had fun photographing the family and everyone, especially the teenagers, was game enough and fully engaged to strike their poses. In this age of gadgets galore, it was heartening to see the families bonding and enjoying one another’s company, without anyone whipping out their phone throughout the entire session.
